Today’s Bible Verse:
In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded. But you remain the same, and your years will never end.
Today’s Prayer:
Dear God,
As we’re about to enter a new year, we’re amazed that You’ve always existed and will always be here with us. When we look at all the amazing things, You’ve made like the earth, under our feet and the beautiful sky above. We feel small and in awe of Your endless power and wisdom.
While this year is ending and time keeps moving forward, Your love and loyalty to us never change. You’ve loved people the same way since the beginning of time.
As we step into the new year, please help us build our lives on Your truth that never changes. It makes us feel safe knowing that even though the seasons change and years fade away like old clothes, You never change. You’re the same God who was there before, who’s here now, and who will always be there.
We praise You because You last forever, and we thank You for being our strong foundation.
