Today’s Bible Verse:
So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. He has saved us and called us to a holy life – not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.
Today’s Prayer:
Dear God, today I carry Paul’s brave words in my heart. Please give me strength not to be ashamed for the sake of the Gospel. Sometimes when I face difficulties I want to retreat, but You have called me to a holy life. This call is not because of my achievements, but because of Your purpose and grace.
I thank You for this grace given to me in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time. Help me today to walk in the power of the gospel, and to be willing to suffer when necessary. May your power be made perfect in me. Amen.
