Today’s Bible Verse:
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, look at the earth beneath; the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment and its inhabitants die like flies. But my salvation will last forever, my righteousness will never fail.
Today’s Prayer:
Dear God,
as I look at the world You made, I’m struck by how everything here is temporary. The beautiful sky will fade away like morning fog. The ground I stand on will wear out like an old shirt. And we humans? We’re just brief breaths in time.
But Your salvation never shakes or changes. Your goodness remains when everything else falls apart.
Please give me the wisdom to build my life on Your promises that last forever, not on things that constantly change. Help me find peace in Your eternal embrace when everything around me is changing and breaking down.
Even though everything in this world will eventually disappear, Your word and Your love will never end.
Amen.
