Today’s Prayer:
Dear God,
in today’s busy world that makes me feel too comfortable, this verse wakes up my spirit. Help me live each day ready for You, not worried, but happy and excited for Your presence. Lord, when I get distracted or tired and my spiritual light grows dim, please light it up again with Your Holy Spirit. Keep me watchful for chances to serve You and others.
I admit that too often I’m caught unprepared, with my attention split between too many unimportant things. Give me the wisdom to focus on what really matters, so whenever You call me, I can answer right away without delay. May my heart always be quick to open when You knock, and may You find me faithfully doing the work You’ve trusted me with.
