Today’s Bible Verse:
Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the LORD’s hand double for all her sins.
Today’s Prayer:
Dear God,
We come to You feeling thankful, knowing how kind and comforting You are. Just like You once spoke with love to Your people in Jerusalem, we ask You to speak gently to us when we’re tired and worn out. We thank You for sending Your Son Jesus to pay for all our wrongs. Your love for us is so big that we can’t even fully understand it. You give us twice as much kindness and mercy as we could ever expect.
Please help us accept Your comfort and share it with other people who are having a hard time. Let Your peaceful words stay in our hearts as we live each day, knowing that You’ve forgiven us and made things right again.
Amen.
