Today’s Bible Verse:
I lift up my eyes to you, to you whose throne is in heaven. As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, till he shows us his mercy.
Today’s Prayer:
Dear God, I choose to lift my eyes from the chaos around me and focus them on your throne. As a servant waiting attentively for a sign from his master, I wait in hope for your guidance and provision.
When life feels uncertain and my heart is weary, remind me that you see my every struggle. Teach me the sacred discipline of waiting patiently, trusting that your mercy flows at just the right time.
Help me to resist looking elsewhere for comfort and answers, for you are my only source of hope and strength. Show me your mercy today, O Lord, and may my dependence on you deepen my faith and bring peace to my restless soul. Amen.
