Today’s Bible Verse:
For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope, that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.
Today’s Prayer:
Dear God, we see with great longing how the whole creation is waiting for the appearance of Your children. This world groans under the heavy weight of decay, but You have given it hope – hope that one day it will be set free. As carriers of that hope, we share in the suffering of creation and pray for its salvation.
Lord, give us the strength to live as Your children, that through us all creation may know Your love and mercy. Make our hearts strong with the promise of freedom from the slavery of decay and help us to carry the signs of Your kingdom in this world. We pray for your will to be done on earth, Amen.
