Today’s Bible Verse:
My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense – Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
Today’s Prayer:
Dear God,
we come to You as Your children, thankful that Jesus stands up for us when we mess up. It’s so comforting to know that when we sin, Jesus, who never did anything wrong, takes our place! His sacrifice completely covers not just our mistakes but everyone’s in the whole world.
God, please help us do what’s right today. And when we fail (because we will), remind us that we don’t need to hide in shame. Your forgiveness doesn’t wear out or expire it lasts forever, in ways we can’t even fully understand.
Thank You that because of Jesus, we don’t face punishment but have someone speaking up for us before Your throne. May this amazing truth change how we live today.
